Time well spent with loved ones binds us together, and with all the isolation we’ve experienced lately, the prospect of reuniting with your favorite people has never been so special. Gathering these days requires responsibility and a little creativity, but with a love of the Maine coast salt air, it might be even more memorable this year. Spruce Point is a private and secure summer retreat located on the ocean, just 2 miles from bustling downtown Boothbay Harbor.
The Inn is just over an hour north of Portland International Jetport (PWM) and 35 minutes North of Brunswick Executive Airport (KBXM).
Transportation services are convenient. The Inn also provides a complimentary 9 passenger van with driver on-site.
Spruce Point Inn’s 57 acre oceanfront property is a retreat of 56 modern rooms in eight lodges, 15 classic rooms and cottages, 8 storied inn rooms and 3 townhomes designed to accommodate extended families.
We’re a family owned and operated Inn so we understand what it means to maintain the tradition of personal hospitality and unobtrusive attention to detail that has made this such a storied place.
The amenities of the oceanfront resort include two outdoor pools: one salt water and one heated fresh water, two Har-Tru tennis courts, kayaks and bicycles for guests’ use, croquet, shuffleboard and a game-room complete with classic arcade games. The Spa at Spruce Point Inn offers full-service treatments, including oceanfront massage and yoga (custom-tailored to your group, if you desire). Nature trails complete with fairy houses wind through the resort’s woodland and the on-site Lighthouse Camp for children aged 4 to 12 may add new friends to the memories.
Spruce Point Inn offers a seemingly endless menu of fun things to do. The Inn’s motor launch Bright Line provides complimentary transportation by water to the village of Boothbay Harbor for shopping, gallery-hopping and sightseeing along the working piers. A shuttle van makes the same two-mile, 10-minute trip by land. Plus the Inn makes an ideal base of operations for exploring nearby attractions including the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens with its renowned Children’s Garden, the Boothbay Railway Village and Auto Museum featuring rides on a restored steam train, Burnt Island Lighthouse and the Maine State Aquarium with its touch tank. Boothbay Harbor also hosts a variety of special events, including the Windjammer Days, family Fourth of July celebration with fireworks and Orne’s Candy Store International Rock Skipping contest. Day sails, whale-watches, nature cruises and fishing trips are also easily arranged.
